The Tulsa Chapter of the Oklahoma Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE) and the University of Tulsa are hosting the April Chapter Meeting.  Join us Thursday, April 25, 2024 in person or online (link below).  This meeting is open to all Oklahoma OSPE members and guests.  A one-hour PDH certificate will be provided to attendees of the meeting upon request.

The program will be presented by Dr. John Henshaw, PhD, Professor and Department Chair of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Tulsa and perhaps some of his participating students.

The program will be: MADE at TU (Make a Difference Engineering) is a student organization at the University of Tulsa that designs, builds, and delivers devices for persons with disabilities in the Tulsa community and beyond. In the past decade MADE students have delivered more than 60 projects including mobility aids, sensory habilitation devices, accessible toys and games, and other devices. Repeat customers include the Little Light House school, the Center for Individuals with Physical Challenges, and many others.  Dr. John Henshaw is department chair and a professor of mechanical engineering at TU. He serves as the faculty mentor for MADE at TU.

The in-person meeting location will be in the Dean's Conference Room on the second or middle/main level of Keplinger Hall.  The campus map shows the location of Keplinger Hall (#21 - near East 4th Place and South Gary Place) and the parking lot across the street to the North. Ignore signage about parking permits needed. Enter Keplinger at the North entrances and you will be on the main level and the conference room is a short distance South down the East hallway. If entering from the main entrance toward the South end, take the East hallway North to the conference room. There is a ramp with the stairs at the East side main entrance if needed.  The West entrances are at grade level, East entrances have steps..

This is a BYOL (Bring Your Own Lunch) meeting.  You are welcome to bring individual food & drink into the room. The Food Court in the Student Union (#3 on map) has a variety of shops where you can grab something before or after the meeting.

Hope to see our OSPE members at the meeting.
