Canceled
The 2008 NSPE Southwest Regional meeting that was scheduled for October 2-4 at the Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs, Arkansas has been canceled due to lack of registrations.

2008-2009 OSPE Officers Installed
The 2008-2009 OSPE Officers were installed during the Celebrating Engineering in Oklahoma banquet that was held June 19, 2008 at the Doubletree Warren Place hotel.
NSPE Treasurer, Russell Devick installed the following OSPE officers: Zane Dunnam, PE, President; Richard Willoughby, PE, President-Elect; Robert Hitt, PE, Vice President for Administration; Philip Wosmek, PE, Vice President for Programs and Operations; and Greg Steelhammer, PE, Vice President for Public Relations. Also serving as officers, but unable to attend the banquet are: Tommy Lear, PE, Secretary-Treasurer and J. Boyd Nolan, PE, NSPE House of Delegate Representative. |

Public Meeting Date Changed
The Oklahoma State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors has announced that the Public Meeting that was scheduled for September 5, 2008 has been moved to November 14, 2008.

OEF Qualifies for Matching Grant
To celebrate what would have been John Kirkpatrick's 100th birthday, the Kirkpatrick Foundation is offering a dollar for dollar fundraising match (up to $5,000) through the Oklahoma City Community Foundation.
OEF's endowment fund at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation supports it's scholarship program.
Donations for the matching grant should be sent to the the Oklahoma City Communities Foundation marked "Oklahoma Engineering Foundation."
